Additional Linksys WPC300N Wireless-N Notebook Adapter Information

The Wireless-N Notebook Adapter is the simple way to add or upgrade wireless connectivity in your notebook computer. Just slide it into your notebooks PC Card slot and enjoy incredible high-speed wireless network access while retaining true mobility. The Wireless-N Notebook Adapter uses the very latest wireless networking technology, Wireless-N (draft 802.11n). By overlaying the signals of multiple radios, Wireless-Ns Multiple In, Multiple Out (MIMO) technology multiplies the effective data rate. Unlike ordinary wireless networking technologies that are confused by signal reflections, MIMO actually uses these reflections to increase the range and reduce dead spots in the wireless coverage area. The robust signal travels farther, maintaining wireless connections up to 4 times farther than standard Wireless-G. It works great with standard Wireless-G and -B equipment, but when both ends of the wireless link are Wireless-N, the throughput can be increased even more by using twice as much radio band, yielding speeds up to 12 times as fast as standard Wireless-G.

What Customers Say About Linksys WPC300N Wireless-N Notebook Adapter:

this is great the price was wonderful easy to setup and price was wonderful because price them in the store and i couldn't afford itand then i remember amazon.com thank you

Looks like this company can't keep up with all problems people like me are encountering with their product. Called linkSys technical support three times in Philippine, not much help, and their tier-2 technicians never called back as promised. the only good thing is that the Amazon seller promised to reimburse me after mailing this card back. I had a seriously tough time installing this PCMCI wireless adapter card into my HP computer with XP & service pack 3. The CD software was out of date and did not allow a successful driver install, so I downloaded the latest, but stumbled when the laptop did not auto detect the new hardware when the card was inserted. What a waste of time.

Ordered 16 Oct 09.delivery promised between 3 & 17 November. TLC Waited, have called.checked with the shipper.the distributor, etc. I don't have it to date.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyoneinterested in a notebook adapter. Quick and easy to install, works great, I just purchased itand for the length of time I have used it, I can only commenton the easy installation and the fact that it works great withno problems. I used it on my Dell Laptopcomputer.

That being said, two of the laptops are older ones w/o built-in Wifi connectivity, and the old USB Wifi-B adapters didn't support WPA2. Very happy with them. With 4 laptops, 3 desktops, and several WiFi nanny cams connecting to my Wifi-G network at home, I'm sticking to my good ol' standby Linksys WRT-54G and not going to mess with upgrading to N. So I picked up two of these Linksys Wifi-N PC Card adapters, and they work very well on my G network.
